The 7 National Exercise Coordinators (NEC) coming from the Programme Beneficiaries and experts from the IPA FLOODS Consortium – constituting the Exercise Planning Team – are the participants expected to the Main Planning Conference organised on next 27 June for the preparation of the IPA FLOODS regional field exercise “IPA FLOODS – VARAŽDIN 2017”.

This regional full-scale field exercise is organised from 9 to 13 October 2017 in the Varaždin County (Croatia) under the auspices of the Croatian National Protection and Rescue Directorate (NPRD) and is aimed at testing regional cooperation and interoperability among the multinational Civil Protection Modules (CPMs) for High Capacity Pumping (HCP) and Flood Containment (FC) that have been established and trained in the framework of Programme Lot 2.

The Exercise Planning Team, a pool of experts in charge of the whole organisation and smooth-running of IPA FLOODS – VARAŽDIN 2017, will review all the preparatory and training activities carried out in the last months, will discuss all aspects of the exercise organization and will visit the exercise locations identified in the County of Varaždin by the colleagues from the Croatian National Protection and Rescue Directorate (NPRD), the main consortium partner in charge of the implementation of this crucial activity.

The next and final preparatory conference for the Regional field exercise is foreseen on next 14 September.

Further updates about IPA FLOODS – VARAŽDIN 2017 will be published in the following weeks in the web page dedicated to the exercise
