The Programme Steering Group
The Steering Group has been set up to provide general directions on the implementation of the IPA Floods Programme – both Lot 1 and Lot 2 – as well as toendorse work plan and the Programme deliverables. It is composed of representatives of all Consortium members, representatives from each Beneficiary Country (e.g. focal persons of the target institutions), representatives from the European Commission (DGECHO). Other relevant EC Directorate Generals (e.g. DG ELARG, Joint Research Centre) and international bodies (the Sava River Commission, the Regional Cooperation Council and the Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Initiative for South Eastern Europe Secretariat and other relevant UN organisations) will be encouraged to participate in the periodical meetings to ensure a timely exchange of information. The Steering Committee is serving also as a forum for sharing information and experience exchange on regional cooperation, by offering opportunities to reflect over common challenges existing in the Region and facilitating partnerships among multiple stakeholders, fostering synergies with similar ongoing initiatives and ensure sustainability of results achieved. At least three Steering Group Meetings will be convened during the IPA Floods Programme lifespan.
